Ethan Vs Me in The Battle of the Labyrinth

In the book,” The Battle of the Labyrinth" by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson, the main character, spared Ethan Nakamura's life in a duel, hoping he would join them on their quest in finding Daedalus, a famous architect. Ethan joined Kronos's side because his godly parent, Nemesis, didn't care for him. Ethan, a halfblood who turned his back on the gods, turned down Percy's offer and returned to his temporary leader Luke Castellan. If it was me in that situation, I would have joined Percy and his friends. Kronos is brutal, merciless ruler who only wanted power and for others to suffer. I wouldn't want to be a soldier on his side because he probably cruel to his men. Also because Kronos was thrown into the pit of Tartarus, which they only do to people who are truly evil. Not the kind of person who I want to be working for, if you ask me. Of course Ethan still wanted revenge on the gods for what they had done to him. Ethan and I both have our reasons, but which one would be the better choice in this story?
